Day 1
79 skips DONE.I had a bit of asthma today, so I broke it down into 3 sets. A bit clumsy, but I did them, and felt great afterwards.
Why am I doing this?!?
79 lives cut short EVERY day by heart disease. Heart disease affects us all.Last year I coincidentally found out that I have a congenital heart defect, which will require surgery, in the next 10 years. It was found during pre-chemotherapy screening tests. I was fortunate to find this out before it had caused much damage.
As I mark 1 year remission, from Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma, I still have a long way to go rebuilding my fitness and strength. I do this for my son, so I can continue to run, swim, climb and jump with him, for years to come.
What better way to mark this occasion, get fit again, and raise funds for a lifesaving cause?
Support my Skip for Heart challenge to help save Aussie hearts.
This November, I’m challenging myself to 79 skips a day (or more!). I’m doing it to support heart health, and in honour of the 79 Australians whose lives are cut short by heart disease every day.
Every skip honours the people I love, and every dollar I raise is helping to support healthier hearts for every generation.

Love you Suz…go hard!
