Katelyn Drummond

Introduction

To whoever is reading this,
My name is Katelyn Drummond and I am from Adelaide, South Australia where the weather is soooo confusing. Anyway I am so thrilled to be doing this challenge. I did this challenge when I was in primary school which was a long time ago and I really enjoyed it.

As you may have read in my description, I explained that I am doing this challenge in honour of my dad who is a survivor of heart attacks. Something about my dad is besides watching the Adelaide crows play on TV and sleeping on the couch, he is a fighter when it comes to heart attacks and heart problems. He might be in and out of the Royal Adelaide hospital because of check up appointments for his heart but, he still manages to see the positives in any situation (even when it came to raising a daughter who is autistic).

Anyway, I hope you all can support me on my journey and I will update my blog as much as I can for this challenge.

Thankyou and I hope to post on the blog again soon ❤️

Support my Skip for Heart challenge to help save Aussie hearts.

This November, I’m challenging myself to 79 skips a day (or more!). I’m doing it to support heart health, and in honour of the 79 Australians whose lives are cut short by heart disease every day.

The person I am doing this challenge for is my dad who I have witnessed get admitted to hospital due to him having a heart attack. I remember when my mum told me that whilst I was at school that an ambulance came to our house because of my dad having another heart attack. He hasn’t had a heart attack since but, I still get worried that he might get another one.

Whether you followed my journey for my walk for autism campaign or not, please follow me as I take this journey to raise some funds for heart health.
